NCEJ:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Center for Environmental Justice (NCEJ) concluded the second phase of the implementation of the project \u201cStrengthening Environmental Governance Frameworks in the Local Administration Programs for the Governorates of the Central Region\u201d in partnership with the International Republican Institute (IRI) and funded by MEPI, which came under the title \u201cHow to include the environmental and development dimension in electoral programs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This stage came on the basis of the training guide that was prepared based on the outputs of the first stage, which was centered on “the opportunities and challenges that faced the work of the provincial councils in the central region” through a practical and scientific analysis of the reality of their work from the age of the first session of the work of the provincial councils, with its negative or negative aspects. Positives, especially with regard to the environmental and developmental dimension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second phase targeted 100 male and female candidates for provincial councils in the central region from (Capital Governorate, Zarqa Governorate, Balqa Governorate, Madaba Governorate), by holding four specialized workshops to empower them and enhance their capabilities in how to include the environmental and development dimension in their electoral programs and campaigns. Candidacy and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The guide was prepared by a group of experts and specialists in the field of environment, training, development work and communication skills during electoral campaigns, to provide the necessary knowledge in building the electoral program and identifying the needs of the target group of voters, and how the environment and development can be an essential element to ensure the success of the electoral program, through planning Strategic and effective communication<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project comes in partnership with the International Republican Institute (IRI) and funded by MEPI, and aims to enhance the capabilities of candidates on how to integrate environmental and development issues into their electoral programs and work on them later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third phase of the project will be launched after the elections, which will target the new members of the provincial councils of the central region to enhance their capabilities to adopt development projects with environmental and development impact in their targeted regions and governorates and their impact on the local community in order to enhance participatory governance in the environmental decision-making process among the elected members and local community members and decision makers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
