{"id":17818,"date":"2022-11-19T13:21:16","date_gmt":"2022-11-19T13:21:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ncej.org.jo\/?p=17818"},"modified":"2022-11-19T13:21:18","modified_gmt":"2022-11-19T13:21:18","slug":"conclusion-of-the-procedures-for-pleading-in-environmental-cases-before-the-jordanian-courts-lawyers-round-second-phase-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncej.org.jo\/?p=17818","title":{"rendered":"Conclusion of The \u201cProcedures for pleading in environmental cases before the Jordanian courts (Lawyers Round \/ Second Phase)\u201d Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The conclusion of The \u201cProcedures for pleading in environmental cases before the Jordanian courts (Lawyers Round \/ Second Phase)\u201d workshop, as part of the project \u201cAdministrative Structure of the Environmental Justice Sector in Jordan\u201d.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>NCEJ<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop was concluded, entitled The \u201cProcedures for pleading in environmental cases before the Jordanian courts (Lawyers Round \/ Second Phase)\u201d, which came within the project \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/ncej.org.jo\/?p=17611\">Administrative Structure of the Environmental Justice Sector in Jordan<\/a>\u201d, which aims to strengthen and develop the structure of the environmental justice sector and enhance public participation and access To justice in environmental matters by empowering, strengthening and developing the capabilities of the groups most involved in the environmental justice sector with these laws by judges, prosecutors, lawyers, community institutions, associations and advocacy campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop, with its multiple sessions, covered a group of basic topics, where Dr. Mustafa Al-Khasawneh presented the first session entitled &#8220;National Environmental Legislative and Judicial Policy, and its compatibility with international standards&#8221;. The session was followed by a panel discussion on some environmental cases and problems and judicial and legislative policies that are invoked in the courts. Punitive and penal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Al-Khasawneh spoke to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncej.org.jo\">NCEJ <\/a>about the importance of amending environmental law violations, the mechanism of pleading and litigation, and working to raise awareness, especially for future generations, and added, &#8220;Environmental crimes are among the crimes introduced in the law and must have a kind of privacy, and therefore it is necessary to target the category of judges, plaintiffs and lawyers, the matter which corresponds to the idea and purpose of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second session, which was presented by Dr. Attorney Adel Saqf Al-Hait, an expert, trainer and lawyer, was titled &#8220;The Possibility of Proving Environmental Damage in Civil and Criminal Cases&#8221;, followed by a practical application of environmental litigation in national courts as an interactive exercise in which the attendees participate in analysing an environmental case and how to analyse its clauses. He concluded through training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Adel Saqf Al-Hait spoke to NCEJ about the importance of the project, &#8220;This project must be followed by a real, tangible campaign that includes everyone to reach an environmental judiciary and environmental courts with jurisdiction.&#8221; He added, &#8220;The workshop, seminars, and lectures need permanent and continuous support to achieve the advocacy needed by the restructuring decision.&#8221; Administration of the environmental justice sector in Jordan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through practical training, the participants showed interaction with the analysis of the pillars and elements of the environmental trial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The day ended with the distribution of certificates to the participants by the National Center for Environmental Justice, represented by Dr. Mohammad Eyadat, NCEJ Chairman, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/jo.ambafrance.org\/-Francais-\">French Embassy<\/a> represented by Ms. Emilie D\u00e9sormi\u00e8re, Judicial and Legal Cooperation Attach\u00e9 for the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is organized by the National Center for Environmental Justice (NCEJ) with support from
