The National Center for Environmental Justice concluded a series of workshops on “The Role of Civil Society Institutions in Protecting Biodiversity – Ecologically, and Legally” in the South Region, as part of the implementation plan of the project, “The Role of Civil Society Institutions in the Protection of Biodiversity through the Impact and Response of Jordanian Environmental Legislation in Conserving Biodiversity and Extent Its compatibility with international and regional conventions is supported by the gef SGP.
These workshops came within the activities of the project in order to analyze the role of civil society institutions in understanding the nature of biodiversity and the extent of their awareness and awareness of the content of environmental legislation and its impact on protection, and to strengthen and build the capacities of local communities and civil society institutions in the majority of the concerned areas in how to deal with environmental issues and challenges (Biodiversity) in their areas and their protection, how to access justice and means of redress and environmental justice in case of exposure to damage.
The National Center for Environmental Justice will issue final reports for all phases of the project and the most important results and recommendations.
