The National Center for Environmental Justice NCEJ concluded the first phase of the project “Strengthening Environmental Governance Frameworks in Local Administration Programs for the Governorates of the Central Region” under the title “Opportunities and Challenges in the First Local Governing Council”, where they discussed the challenges that faced the members of the first session, and what role they played to create opportunities and confront these challenges, and what is the ambition for the next session.
In the second phase, the center will complete the preparation of a training manual based on the outputs and recommendations of the first phase, and then hold trainings for new candidates, with the aim of raising awareness for the formulation of their electoral campaigns and programs, including the environmental dimension, and what opportunities they have to develop services and development and environmental projects.
This project is funded by the International Republican Institute IRI, and aims to enhance opportunities and highlight previous challenges by building the capacities of target groups in the central region, by drawing on previous experience, to build new supportive plans and programs that simulate the development and environmental reality in the central region.
