The project “Strengthening Environmental Governance Frameworks in Local Administration Programs for the Governorates of the Central Region in Jordan”
The conclusion of the inaugural session of the workshop “Strategic Planning for Integrating Developmental Environmental Projects into Local Administration Programs”, as part of the project “Strengthening Environmental Governance Frameworks in Local Administration Programs for the Governorates of the Central Region in Jordan”, for members of the local councils in the Central Region, which targeted the Capital Governorate.
This workshop came to enable the participants to formulate and develop strategic environmental and development plans, in line with the needs of their geographical scope of work.
The participants from the Capital Governorate expressed their interaction in discussing the challenges they coexist with, and through the SWOT analysis, the participants analyzed the needs of their councils and what are the opportunities and challenges they face to develop their environmental and development plans.
Note that the project is organized by the National Center for Environmental Justice (NCEJ) with the support of the International Republican Institute (IRI).
