The launch of the workshop “Procedures to plead cases in designated Environmental courts (Lawyers Category / First Level)” as part of the project “Administrative Structure of the Environmental Justice Sector in Jordan”, which is organized by the National Center for Environmental Justice NCEJ with the support of the French Embassy.
The workshop began with a presentation by Mr. Mahmoud Nasser, Director of the Strategic Development Department at the National Center for Environmental Justice, on an analysis of the environmental issues that were brought before the national judiciary, based on the data provided by the Qistas Foundation.
Lawyer Adel Saqf Al-Hait started the training course, which includes in its axes the conceptual framework for trials in environmental crimes, the legal basis for responsibility for environmental damages (penal and civil), and then a study of some environmental issues and their analysis (reality of the case), and its conclusion through a mock trial. The training included a practical application of an environmental issue and its elements. The trainer also involved the attendees as a practical and tangible application in discussing the issue.
