Conclusion of the workshop “Procedures to plead cases in designated Environmental courts (Lawyers Category / First Level)”, as part of the “Administrative Structure of the Environmental Justice Sector in Jordan” project, which aims to strengthen and develop the structure of the environmental justice sector and enhance public participation and access to justice In environmental matters by empowering, strengthening and developing the capabilities of the groups most involved in the environmental justice sector with these laws, whether by judges, prosecutors and lawyers.
The training workshop included in its axes the concepts of trials in environmental crimes, the legal basis for liability for environmental damages (penal and civil), and then a study and analysis of some environmental issues (the reality of its situation), and concluded with a mock trial in a conceptual environmental case.
The project is organized by the National Center for Environmental Justice (NCEJ) with the support of the French Embassy in Amman.
